LOW KEY
You've seen the in-class demo, now it's your turn to be the creative brains behind your own LOW KEY LIGHTING photo shoot. We've over what kind of equipment you’ll need, how to set it up, as well as what camera settings you can expect to give you good results.
THE PROJECT:
You will be creating a PHOTO ESSAY using the High Key Lighting technique. A photo-essay (or photographic essay) is a set or series of photographs that are intended to tell a story or evoke a series of emotions in the viewer. In partners you will play various roles such as: photographer, setup, lighting, makeup/costume, director, post-editing, and modeling. Your group will decide on a theme for your photo series, brainstorming and ideas need to be put on paper and submitted for approval by Mr. Choy. Begin to gather the materials, props, and models you need for your PHOTO ESSAY. Schedule a date that you want to shoot your photos, as the backdrop studio will be used by many students. You will hand in a minimum of 5 photos for your PHOTO ESSAY. Submit your work as JPEGS. Label the files as LowK_yournames01,JPG, LowK_younames02.JPG, etc... |
