CLONES
For this project, you will be composing a photograph that involves CLONES of yourself. Look at the examples on the left hand side to get a feel for what the project entails. You want to aim for a complex photo where your various "selfies" are interacting with each other. So spend sometime planning out the poses, positions, and placement of each character. Remember to not move the camera, or any major objects in your shot.
Make sure you are using a tripod and keeping your exposures consistent. Upload all the files into Photoshop and begin your editing process. My suggestion would be to use MANUAL mode setting on your camera. Set the Aperture to something between f8-f12 to achieve a LARGE DEPTH OF FIELD. Then for each photograph don't change the APERTURE, just adjust the SHUTTER SPEED do that each time the LIGHT METER is balanced at -0- (in the center). This should allow you achieve the correct exposure for each photo and you won't end up with different lighting. Use CREATE "MASKING LAYER" (in layers panel- square with circle icon). Switch your tool to BRUSH. Black color will HIDE, and White color will REVEAL. To open up all photographs into separate layers in one canvas, use Bridge, select all the photos you are going to use. Then go to TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>Load files into Photoshop Layers. Save this as multiple_yourname.jpg or clone_yourname.jpg |
