CAMERA SHOTS & MOVEMENTS MONTAGE
PART 1: CAMERA SHOTS
It is crucial for all filmmakers to know and understand what camera shots and angles are available. For your first assignment you will be familiarizing yourself with the various camera shots by creating a video that displays them. Grab movie clips (what ever method works for you) from the internet and save them in your folder. Begin sifting through them and finding examples for each of the following camera shots. For each camera shot find 1 example from TV/Film and 1 example that you filmed yourself around the school. You can come up with fake scenarios and little scenes. You can add music to certain parts if you want. Before each change in camera shot, add a TITLE before it to indicate which camera shot is being shown. This project will be an indicator of whether or not you understand the different film camera shots. You can use iMovie or Final Cut Pro X These are the camera shots we will cover for this exercise:

PART 2: CAMERA MOVEMENTS
A camera movement refers to the way a camera shifts to visually narrate and shape a viewer’s perspective of a scene. Camera movement is a filmmaking technique that causes a change in frame or perspective through the movement of the camera. Camera movement allows cinematographers and directors to shift the audience's view without cutting. Specific types of camera movements in film also can create a psychological and emotional effect on the audience. It can be used to reveal information to the audience, or move closer to the subject, providing clearer visual information.
